Under subcontract to the Michigan-based engineering firm BB&E, I had the pleasure to conduct the HABS/HAER photography of Building 1220 at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. This building was built as an airplane hangar in the 1940s, though the interior was soon converted for research purposes with multiple components throughout this large space to test a variety of different impacts on aviation safety and performance.
